1 Samuel 1:27 I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I've asked of Him.."

Please forgive the bluriness of the pictures, the computer here is very slow and the quickest way to get any pitures onto the blog was to simply take a picture of the pictures on my phone with the web cam, lol :)

It's a beautiful city where our son lives. It's rich in culture, in history and the people are so kind and hospitable..nothing like you find in everyday life in America. We arrived early Wednesday morning, came to our apartment and slept. :) We weren't able to go see him until the following day per the instructions of the Ministry of Health. So all that nigh my stomach did flip flops of anticipation, like a kid waiting to go to Disneyland in the morning. On Thursday morning we showered, dressed and then waiting for our driver to come  pick us up. Finally
at about 11:30 am we stood in front of his home knocking on the door. We walked in and there he was..our little mister in real life :D So teeny-tiny! You'd never look at him and guess that he will be 8 in 2 months. He sat in his chair and took our faces in as we knelt down beside him (me all teary eyed with mascara running down my face..lol -lovely :) He warmed up to us like he's known us all his life. His foster mom said she was so relived because she had worried.."what if he doesn't like his new parents!" lol. She told us about him, his likes, dislikes, his habits, his personality and so on...and all the while I held my precious boy on my lap breathing him in. He's a gentle soul, tender in his actions, easily overwhelmed by new toys, noises and sights, but keeps calm. My husband and I feel in love in real life :D He's no longer a pile of pictures, no longer a medical report in our 'Nika file'...today he became real ♥. We left him after a nice 2 hour visit and headed to court where my hands began to shake, my loss of words kicked in and I sat feeling like a school girl who was about to be reprimanded. Our attorney warned our judge was a stern women who will ask lots of detailed questions of us. He said "only look at here, not your interrupter, always stand until she tells you to sit, and be clear and loud". Oh my stomach ached! This little women walked in, we stood until she told us to sit and then we listened as she went over all our documents in detail. Then came the time to answer questions. Mat stood at the front mic. "You are not afraid to add more to your already large family?" -"No", Mat says.."I like my large family and don't mind it getting larger, it's fun." She smiled and dismissed him, That was it. Only one question of him. My turn..and I have no idea what she asked me, I was soooo nervous! All I remember is that the answer was yes, so I answered in Georgian, "Deeakh". Then she asked me if I'd been trying to learn the language and I answered her again, "Deeakh", she said "Thank you" and then dismissed me. Whew! No hard questions at all! She scolded the social worker for not having recent information  or medical reports on Nika or pictures to show her so she could see who he was. We asked our attorney to ask if we could show her the pictures we had taken earlier of our meeting him and she said "Yes, please!" We showed her the pictures and she said he was a beautiful child who she thinks likes like my husband :). Then came the best part. She granted us the gift of Nika :D  And even put a rush on the paperwork to make sure it would be done quickly for us to be able to take him home as soon as possible! I was able to breath again and inside was doing my happy dance with my Mathew, lol :) So there you have it, we are now parents to 7 beautiful children! Who knew God/life would be this sweet to us?!
